Solar
Solar energy is radiation from the sun and cameos down to Earth. It uses photovoltaic cells, which are in solar panels, which are made from silicon alleys. It is used for heat and electricity. Many science teachers use solar energy for projects. Oak Park Middle School is making solar ovens out of cardboard boxes, foil, saran wrap, and insulation. They are learning that it uses a reflective surface, and something clear that traps the rays heat into the box. Solar energy has been around for a while, the early Greeks, Native Americans, and Chinese used it to warm their homes. People now use solar power to provide lighting in their homes, heat, electricity, and flight. Now there are many things powered by solar energy; people can heat pools with it, there are solar powered vehicles, flashlights, phone chargers, calculators, and many other things.
